What is involved
If you choose me as your celebrant, I would want to support you in any way that I can. I’d like to meet you and your family for a chat about creating a beautiful, thoughtful funeral or memorial service to honour the life of the person you have lost. I would like you to tell me about the person who has died, so that I can write a tribute/eulogy – or help you write one if you like – in either case, it’s really important that it’s right for you. You can call or email me to ask any questions. I am then at the funeral or memorial service with you, to lead the best service possible to help you all to say the best possible ‘goodbye’.
Funerals
A funeral can be a glorious way of coming together to celebrate someone’s life. It can be creative and, by and large, whatever you want it to be. I take the time to listen to you, offer support and guidance to help create a ceremony that feels right.
Celebrations of Life
Sometimes you never got to say goodbye ‘properly’. It’s never too late to give a meaningful send off for someone you loved. Celebrations of Life can be separate from burials and cremations, and as creative as you like. I can work with you to create a bespoke service that helps you honour your loved one and allow you to grieve.
Fees
Celebrancy Work
A single-slot Brighton/Wealdon/Eastbourne crematorium funeral £500.
A double-slot Brighton/Wealden/Eastbourne crematorium funeral £650.
There is an additional charge of £80 for a burial taking place in addition to a chapel service.
Alternative venue celebration-of-life from £650, depending on location and length of the service.
End of Life Planning/Consultation
Feel free to call me for a brief chat about what it is you’d like. If you then decide you want to work with me to make end of life plans/discuss your funeral options, I charge £80 per hour or part of an hour for a consultation, usually in person.
